DE RYCKERE, ARCHIE GEORGE LCDR Archie George De Ryckere was born in Laurel, MT. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1940, fought and survived the attack on Pearl Harbor and survived Typhoon Cobra in 1944. After a long military career, Archie worked for Rohr Industries and the City of El Cajon. In 1984, he and his wife, Jackie, owned a hardware store in Pacific Beach.
