Aldridge, Jerry H. - ETR2 '60-'63

1940 - 2014

 

Jerry Harrison Aldridge, age 74, of Pensacola passed away suddenly at Sacred Heart Hospital on September 30, 2014 surrounded by family and

close friends.

Jerry was born in Rupert, Idaho April 6, 1940 to W. E. "Mick" and Vona Harrison Aldridge. He served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years, then began his

Civil Service career in Pensacola. During this time, he earned his master's degree in education from the University of West Florida while also

serving in the United States Navy Reserve.

Following his retirement as a Master Chief, he enjoyed many of his passions. He loved gardening with his wife, fishing with his buddies, and visiting

with his family. He also enjoyed writing "Flies and Lies" in the Newsletter Of The Flyfishers of Northwest Florida.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Eugene Aldridge.

He is survived by his loving and adoring wife, Anne Aldridge; four daughters and a step-daughter, Reanne Jackson, Alisha Elischer, Angie Frank,

Elena "Laney" Howchick, and Catherine Nichols. Also surviving him are two sisters, a brother, and also two very dear friends, Tom Finkel and

George Bennett.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Trahan Family Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m at Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
