BOGUSCH,
Sr., WILLIAM CHARLES "Bogie" passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at
age 65, of heart failure. He was born January 24, 1943, in Brooklyn, New
York, and grew up in Maspeth, Queens. Bogie the son of Philip and Ethel
Bogusch, deceased. He and Nancy Louise Hough were married May 16, 1965, in Winterhaven, California. He served seven tours in Vietnam for the U.S. Navy.
During his career in the Navy, he had numerous commendations, including the
National Defense Service Medal. He retired after 20 years of service
pursuing a second career as a self-employed plumbing contractor. Bogie was
very dedicated to his work and family. He was involved in The Porsche Club
of America and the American Legion post #0282 in La Mesa. Other Activities
usually involved his family, particularly his grandson Lukas. Bogie had an
uncanny ability to get to the point in all matters. Surviving family members
include his wife, Nancy Bogusch, two sons William Charles Bogusch Jr.
(Susanne Bogusch) and Keith Edward Bogusch, his grandson Lukas Bogusch,
brother Robert Bogusch and sister Dorothy Bukay both of New York, and
numerous cousins including Dennis Corcoran of San Diego, nephews Michael
Bukay of San Diego, Alex Bukay, Andrew Bogusch and Patrick Bogusch of New
York. A Viewing will be at El Cajon Mortuary, 684 S. Mollison Ave. from 4 to
7 p.m., this evening, Tuesday, January 20th. Services will be Wednesday at
10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 405 Ballard St. in El Cajon, with burial
at El Cajon Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join the family for
a gathering and sharing of memories at the German American Societies, 1017
So. Mollison Ave., El Cajon, immediately following burial. - See more at:
