A funeral service for Curtis W. Edgar, 74, longtime Clinton farmer, will be held 11:00a.m., Friday, October 5, 2012 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Dale Nease and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
 
Curtis Warren Edgar was born October 1, 1938 to Robert G. Edgar and Mary Margurite (Patton) Edgar in Elm, Oklahoma and passed away on his 74th birthday, October 1, 2012 in the Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton, Oklahoma.
 
Curtis was raised in Rural Custer County and graduated from Custer City School in 1956. He worked wheat harvest before joining the U.S. Navy in January 1957. He was honorably discharged in January 1963. He was married to Mary Louise Vogel on September 20, 1963 in Oklahoma City. He worked as a carpet layer for a brief time and he farmed in Barnitz Creek area, until his retirement in 1994.
 
He was a member of the U.S.S. Hull Association, he enjoyed traveling and messing with his dogs; he spent numerous hours in the coffee shops entertaining and keeping up with the current events.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Methodist Health Care Center, three daughters, Deborah Meraz and husband, Martin, Edmond, two sisters, Evelyn Parker, Owasso, OK and Sally Edgar, Clinton and a brother, Robert J. "Robin" Edgar and wife, Darlene, Clinton.
 
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Paige, Kyle, Kerra, Kyndall, Carter, Ethan and Aaron.
