Funeral service 1 pm Thursday Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 95th and Switzer, Overland Park, KS. Visitation 6-8 pm Wednesday at the church. Private inurnment will be at Ft. Leavenworth, at a later date.
Ed was born September 6, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the son of Edward E. and Ingeborg E. Nelson. He was a 1957 Graduate of UCLA. He was united in marriage September 15, 1963 in Los Angeles to Elaine Davies, she survives of the home.
Other survivors include; three sons, Edward E. Nelson III, KC, MO, Keith E. Nelson, Lawrence, KS, Kyle E. Nelson, Topeka, KS; one daughter, Erika Elaine Boucher, Overland Park, KS; 8 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School, or Mt. Olive Lutheran School.
